“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Our artisans come from all points of Vietnam. Each has their own story when coming to Dodili. It could be that of a young mother who has just lost her factory job and must find a way to continue supporting her young child. Or that of a grandmother who has spent years knitting clothes for her family. Or those of young people who have left the city for their hometowns after graduating, with the ambition of rebuilding a cherished traditional craft of their villages.
These stories are a shimmering rainbow of colors, each of which connects together to create the lovely product you are holding in your hand.
We proudly work with our partners in Vietnam, giving more than 300 women in rural villages stable and fair jobs. Women who now have flexible working hours, using their passion for knitting to earn extra life giving income
Many of their lives have been changed for the better, and this allows them help other women with apprenticeships, passing on their skill and experience. Just like that, a cohesive community has been created, the pioneers training the latter, discovering great meaning and joy in their work.
